This is Mozzy, after spending 5 weeks in training! Mozzy was incredibly fearful of everything when he came here. He was also incredibly mouthy and was not afraid to bite when he was nervous about something. He got very mouthy when you attempted to touch him, leash him, etc. He was difficult to handle due to this, but you could tell it was 100% fear based and he did not want to become aggressive. He just wanted to hide in his kennel 24/7. The previous foster home stated he just hid in the bathroom all day to avoid everything he could. That Mozzy would get mouthy and bitey with them when they were trying to handle him.
Mozzy has not been mouthy at all over the past couple of weeks, if he gets nervous he controls himself and is able to warm up to scenarios quickly without trying to get defensive or run away anymore. He will simply sit and wait patiently. Mozzy does well with dogs overall, he does not like a dog who is always on his face, but overall does fantastic in group playtime and enjoys picking out his few friends for the day to play with.
I would suggest no kids under the age of 10 years old in the house because of his history. But has has shown to do well meeting kids while here gaining his confidence. He loves to go outside and run and play along his walks but he also loves to cuddle up on the couch!
